Hard Disk Problem

Hello
Today i bought the a7n266c.
I have a western digital hard disk 30gb
i installed as primary single drive pio 4 ultra dma 5 and when i try to boot to windows xp i get the following message:
STOP:0x00000024 (0x001901FE,0x81F02830,0xC0000102,0x00000000)
Disable or uninstall any anti-virus, disk defragmentation or backup utilities. Check your hard disk configuration, and check for any updated drivers. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer
but when i choose to load windows millenium the start up and i can use the drive windows xp are installed.
Any ideas??
I have windows xp home
plz help

Sounds like you have a dual boot setup, right? The WindowsME works, but your WinXP doesn't? (Sorry, I was a little confused reading your question)

If that's the case, when you changed your motherboard, WinME will install the correct drivers for the new board and run fine. However, WinXP doesn't do that very well. As much as I've tried, I've had to reinstall WinXP when you make a board swap like this... which of course means you have to reactivate it. Microsoft seems to be fairly good about leting you reactivate.
