I posted in my forums here, but I know way more would see it here. I can't type everything, so here's the URL to the thread:

Right now, it's just sitting there unplugged and without the CMOS battery.

I appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks. :frown:

Okay, my hope is dwindling now. Perhaps you're all stumped like me, and I guess I can understand that. And, I do have an older model motherboard.

Anyway, I'm thinking of taking everything apart, and putting it back together...with a minimum of components. Maybe, I shouldn't even put it inside the case. I really don't know. I'm not sure if this is worth it though. I'm sick of having a motherboard without CMOS jumpers to clear with. I'm not even sure if I'm shorting the points successfully on this A7V133. *sigh*

How does the Shuttle AK32L look? It's only $49 at Mwave, and I can just go pick it up at will-call for $5. If I don't figure this out by tomorrow afternoon, then I'm just going to do that. At least it supports SDRAM, because that's all I have right now, and I can't upgrade to DDR RAM yet.

Putting a XP CPU is a 50/50 shot at best from what I have read with this MB. But one thing I have not seen you do is clear the cmos. Have you done that? Also, you might want to check out the forums at other sites to see if they have been having the same problems. One other one I keep an eye on is at WWW.AMDMB.COM and I find that it is pretty good at helping with problems such as yours, as others have had the same.
Good Luck.

Well, I'm here, ain't I?
