Does the US 1.0001 release support...
Creative Labs X-Fi Fatal1ty EAX at 7.1 with positional suround as it should, like in FEAR ? Best I can find out is you get 4 speaker stereo.
It also appears that the only support for wide screen is an FOV hack that really isn't that good. Anybody having success with these features ?
Like everybody else, I was really looking forward to this game and I might want to do some mods for it, but if it can't do 7.1 sound or wide screen, then I think I'll save my money till it can, or until Crysis comes out.

not too sure about the sound in the game, some sounds like the dogs aren't too great positional wise IMO although i haven't played that much. as for widescreen i can play in widescreen modes selected from the menu.

one thing that annoy me is that you cannot use HDR and AA. it is getting pretty tiresome now game devs doing this.

also, crossfire don't work so my comp is struggling pretty badly. having to turn down the res or eye candy, still experimenting until it gets sorted.

Thanks for the reply. This is a sad state of affairs for pc gaming.
We are told this game was under development for 6 years. With all the problems on the initial release, and their history of developer turnover, it's more like 1 year six times, then throw it over the wall. Too bad. Great concept and would have been fun to play and mod. Was really looking forward to this one, but sounds to frustrating to waste money on. Be watching to see if they can fix it but not optimistic. Hope Crysis does a better job.
