I don't know. It looks OK. They've got shadows casting on the cars, but no reflections, and the guy's face looks decidedly last-gen (unless the character is a stroke victim. It just doesn't "wow" me.

I dont think the graphics of GTA games has ever wowed anyone but this game definately has good graphics for GTA standards.
Its the gameplay, fun and huge cities that make GTA so fun. Im sure GTA4 will be no exception.
Apparently that is a shot-by-shot of actual gameplay - looks like another addiction. Full objects down-town and tons of people will make wipping out an AK fun as hell I'm thinking Looks like the vehicles polly count took a massive jump and just from that trailer, the physics have jumped also.
Checking out the water, it does have reflectiveness. Hopefully they impliment this with the cars - it will make this another keeper in the GTA library.
So I take it this is a remake of the 3 islands of Liberty City? Regardless - wow. One thing I would like to see is more of an emphasis on the cars in GTA4; detailed in-car camera, speedometer and tachometer. Damage, roll damage, and definently rag-doll in the peds. Forcing you to fuel up at a gas station when your running low, overheating, ect. I believe all of this would make a police chase and car jacking even more realistic - hopping into a car with under a quarter of a tank and seeing a cop turn on his lights.
One thing I am curious about with GTA 4 will be if Rockstar can add a little something new to the gameplay. New next-gen graphics are nice and all but the GTA series to me was never about the visuals. It's about the free-form gameplay. But there have been so many GTA clones recently -- Saints Row, Scarface, The Godfather -- that I'm wondering if people are going to be a little burned out on the whole GTA style. Thoughts?
Least it won't be a dude who can't string a sentence together without saying dawg or something similiar. God that pissed me off so much about Andreas.
Yeah, agreed.
Endorphin will provide much different gameplay from that of the past. Adaptive behavior and reactions - it's like ragdoll with intelligence. When you're barrel-assing down the sidewalk in a car, hitting pedestrians will become very interesting. Rolling off the hood, over the car, or covering your view on the windshield. It's gonna be interesting.
