Was reading a post about good rpgs, and the OP got the recommendation to try the Fallout series.
That got me thinking, since i played them over and over again does anyone know of similar rpgs i might have missed?
Been out of the loop of rpgs for a while now and most newspapers just has reviews on crappy console games.
Im a fan of all sorts of rpgs, but are mainly looking for something like fallout.
Yeah i just installed NWN2..again and i have ordered Gothic 3 since 2 was very good.
Maybe i should give the Oblivion add-ons a go (any feedback here)?
Will look up all these games you mentioned, i do believe i tried PS:T way back, can't remember if i liked it. =)
I remember playing one of the UFO games on the amiga i believe, hehe.
I really sucked at it...
Shivering Isles is fun, I laughed alot, Shaegorath is just that kind of daedric prince! Knights of the nine was also fun, but pricey in store, buy it online if you can, and it didnt take long to do.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has a very similar atmosphere to fallout but is not really an rpg, just an fps with rpg elements. Still, if you don't mind an fps and were a fan of the post-nuclear-apocalypse-atmosphere of fallout, it's nice.
I'm disappointed that it hasn't been mentioned already, but if you loved Fallout you need to play Arcanum.
It was developed by the same developers who made the original Fallout. It is about a fantasy world going through an industrial revolution. It is very well done. Extremely open as to how you play the game, and one of the best RPGs ever to come along.
The only gripe I have with it is that some graphics cards just seem to not like it and make it unplayable. On the bright side, it is dirt friggin cheap now due to being several years old and is well worth the little bit of money it costs now.
