Can not open Adobe Reader 6

When I try to open Adobe Reader I get a box that says it has a problem and must close.The problem is an Error Signature ;App. Name:acrord 32.exe;App.Ver:6.0.1.1091 ModName:acrord32.exe;ModVer:6.0.1.1091 Offset 264e5. Can anyone help me fix this problem. THANK YOU
