Yeah, only thing that seperated race to race is slight differences in racial traits. In all they have little to no impact on your characters effectivness.

In all horde pretty much has the market on the better racial abilities.
This biggest thing that effects your character vs another are the traits you choose, wich you start getting after at level 10.
