saving problem in test drive unlimited

I just go tdu and it doesn't want to save, when I quit out and go back into the game it wont load up my progress which it has apparently been saving, it says saving progress but I can't find any save files so I guess its not saving.

Also why can't I set the resolution above 1024x768 or enable hdr at those settings, it says the settings aren't compatable with you computer when I try and enable them.
