Moto T730 - How is it?

I'm porting my wife from AT&T to Verizon in June when her contract is up.
We looked at phones this weekend, and she thinks she wants to get the T730,
as it is virtually identical to her GSM T720. I've read some horror
postings in the past of the CDMA T720. What is the verdict on the T730. I
know it isn't on the Verizon website anymore, but it is available at Radio
Shack.

Tnx

I would personally steer clear of it, but that's just because of all
the 720 horror stories you talk about.

It's my understanding that they've pretty much stomped out the bugs at
this point.

I don't have any personal experience with the T730, but those who do report
that it is much better than the T720.

I have a 730 and am happy with it. Only a few pet peeves, but they are
very minor. First is no ability to upload personal pictures for use as
wallpaper. Second, and this is my bigger problem, is handsfree volume.
While using the handsfree in the car, it's fine. I use this phone on my
motorcycle, patched thru a communicator, and while under way the ear
piece volume is very low. Like I said, minor complaints that don't
affect the general public.

As a phone, it is as good as any Verizon now sells. Was a nightmare when the
720 first came out, but the problems were solved. Does not have all the
bells and whistles, but a good phone. One caution, the earpiece has a very
low sweetspot. It will appear you are losing volume, but lowering the
earpiece on your ear restores the volume. All phones have a sweetspot, but
this one is a bit more exagerated.

If you're technically inclined you can get PST and EMS and upload your own
gifs to the phone for wallpaper and ringtones as well. I have a T730 and I
think it's great. The only problem I have is (as someone here mentioned)
the earpiece has a sweet spot so you have to hold it right over your
earhole. And why would anyone have a volume that only goes up to 7? That's
like having an amp that goes all the way to 11.
