Hello all!
Well my pc is quite old for some modern games:
Barton 2500+
1GB (PC2700)
ATI 9800 PRO

I will buy a new vga(AGP) in a few weeks but at the moment i found a cheap 512MB (PC3200)

I know my CPU is the weakest link,but do you think upgrading to 1.5GB ram would help in gaming?

Well,i play racing and FPS games.
So,the the most demanding ones :)

Im not going to buy a new pc at the moment
Just buy a new agp(7800 or sth)

Do you think that going from 1gb to 1.5 gb of ram will help my system significantly in games?

You can overclock the Barton 2500+ to a 3200+ with a simple FSB overclock from 166MHz to 200MHz, make sure if you do that to bring the ram timings down to suit as memory overclocks automatically when the FSB is increased. But memory as has been said should help increase gaming smoothness but your frame rate will remain the same. So if choppy game play is your problem them memory will help, but if it is a simple fact that you are not getting enough frames through to play then the memory will do nothing but cost you money and drain more power from your plug.
