Starcraft 2 around the corner ???

It took a good day of calls and emails, but Blizzard just got back to us about the rumor floating around that Starcraft 2 will be announced next month during their World Wide Invitation in Seoul, South Korea.

I want it to be Starcraft 2 and to not have that STUPID upkeep system they tried in WC3, but the statement seemed to indicate that it would NOT be SC2.

As long as they are not announcing some Warcraft title I'm good. I hate to say it, but I am sick of Warcraft.

I "dislike" warcraft 3, the whole game, upkeep, so many spellcasters, and many other things, still play it sometimes.. footies!

Prepare yourselves...

I hear its going to be Starcraft MMORPG. I hope it is, it sounds pretty cool. 8)

I mean no offense, but I hope it isn't an MMORPG. I'm a die-hard RTS fan, and Starcraft is still one of my favorite games. I would much rather play Starcraft 2 as an RTS.

I don't know... I hated Warcraft 3 and if they did something similar to Starcraft 2, well I think the disappointment would outweigh any enjoyment I got out of it.

If they made it an MMO then I would probably enjoy it more because I wouldn't feel like they were corrupting something great, it would feel more like something new with an old familiar world.

On the other hand if they made it without trying to innovate (something blizzard has never done well) then I would probably prefer it in an RTS incarnation.

Finally if they try to make it an MMORTS I would in all likelihood hate it most.

All I can do is wait and see what happens with it.
