Ok, i have my PS2 hooked up to my Dell 20in Wide with a S-Video cable.
Now, i have a Creative Labs Audigy 2 Zs Platinum pro (the one with the external box).
How do i go about getting sound coming from the PS2, to go through my sound card, and out the speakers. Im trying to use the optical output from the ps2, to the optical input on the external box from my sound card.

I confused with the way you said that. Do you have it hooked up already, or are you just wondering if it works? :?
I've never done it myself (got a Logitech Z-5500 system to avoid doing that), but as long as you have an optical input, you should be able to output it easy enough.
IIRC correctly, some Creative cards have a socket that doubles as both an optical and standard 3.5m jack (quite clever really), depending on whether the user is getting 5.1/7.1 using seperate analogue cables or a digital optical connect. The OP probably needs to configure his card settings correctly. As you rightly pointed out, the manufacturer's website is a better start...
I don't come to the section as often as I used to and when I do I usually start by checking for updates in threads I've posted in. Since you posted in this one I read your post and I was intrigued by that sentence. That's all.
