PAL LD player in Los Angeles

Forum Home Theatre Legacy : Laser Disc Players PAL LD player in Los Angeles

I was wondering if anyone can help me with a problem I'm having. I bought a PAL laser disc because a friend of mine has a laser disc player that plays NTSC and PAL LDs.....or at least he thought he did. It turns out that there were three versions of the model he bought; the UK version, the US version, and the Hong Kong version. Only the UK version is PAL/NTSC, and he has the US version. So now I have a PAL LD that I really want to put on DVD and no way to do it. My question is, does anyone know if you can buy/rent/borrow a PAL LD player in Los Angeles? I know it's a long shot, but I figured that if anyone could help me, it would be the people on this board.
Thanks!

Dennis

It might be easier if you can set an AVIVO card to recieve PAL signal.
