Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords left quite a bit of content on the cutting room floor. Now a group of Star Wars game fans are hoping to restore the deleted material with a new mod project called The Sith Lords Restoration Project. TwitchGuru goes behind the scenes with Team Gizka and the mod project.

I find this to be quite amusing. I have searched the audio files and discovered TONS of HK-47 lines on the CD's audio files that simply are not used in the game, refering to his inability to "attack himself", leading me to believe the whole problem is that the HK-50's are somehow registering as himself and he is unable to fight them. I thought someone would have made a mod sooner, but heck it is alot of content to handle, and with the aging game I was beginning to think nobody would even bother to go through the trouble.

I'm certainly glad that they are, and will definately pick this up as soon as it's available. *sigh* I know Microsoft _had_ to get Obsidian to release it quickley before the XBox 360 was hyped up, but geez, it'd of been so much nicer if MS would just let them finish the game...the HK-47 side story is a giant one IMHO, and cutting that is--well, I'm just happy somebody decided to resurrect this :D

i wish them luck, the HK factory part of the story line is sketchy at best as the cut scenes only gives bits and pieces of the what the designers originally intended the planet to be. The modders would have to make up their own story line to include it into the game. They also have to move some of the other side quests around as a few used to point to that planet before they were redirected to others. If fully done, they may even be able to convince Obsidian to release their "mod" as a 1.1 or 2.0 Patch. I wish them the best of luck. Perhaps this is a perfect example of a good game ruined by greed....
