I want to play video from my desktop to my PC. I want to include sound and do it wirelessly. So I figure I'm going to require a wireless media transfer device that has inputs on each side for audio and video.
On the TV side I want to connect through component. On the PC side I can connect to video using DVI, VGA or S-Video, whatever works.
The problem is the audio. The TV side is simple, just an RCA cable. On my PC I have 5.1 surround sound set up. I want to keep my 5.1 and be able to have the wireless media device plugged into audio at the same time.
So the media device I assume would just take a Red/White RCA and audio would be good to go.
I don't have a sound card, I use on board sound from my Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard. Almost all the sound ports are taken. There's a light blue one that says line in, and a gray one open (I guess it might be for 6.1, not sure). I also have a SPDIF port which I know nothing about.
So my two questions would be 1) Does anyone know of a good wireless media transfer device?
And 2) How can I have my speakers and the device's audio connected simultaneously?
