I have recently purchased a Asus A7V333 MB & a AMD Athlon XP 2200+ processor, by reading the User's manual for the motherboard, it shows the Frequency Table and the max cpu MHZ is 230mhz, this processor is 266mhz fsb.. What settings should I make for the processor to run at best performance?

Thanks!

Leave all the motherboard dip switches for the frequency off (so that it's in jumperless mode - control things via the BIOS). Slap the CPU in, make sure the HSF is mounted well and that the fan is plugged into the correct header on the mobo, and fire it up. It will automatically set to the correct frequencies.

The reason you're questioning the frequency range there is because the max CPU of 230MHz is straight up frequency for the FSB (which will default to 133MHz, but you can raise for OCing, especially if you unlock the CPU), while the 266MHz FSB is a DDR rate - just like with your memory, the CPU's FSB runs DDR.
