Trying to set up xp pro on working system.
Soyo P4VDA motherboard
P4 2.4g processor
Nvidia FX 5200 vidio card
Soundblaster Live 5.1
Creative modem blaster Di5633
Buslink 2.0 USB
512mb Carvair ram
90gb Seagate

Blue screen stop errors include:
nv_mini.sys
i804port
atapi.sys

Win98Se works fine with the products.
Setting up new HD with XP not an upgrade.
XP seems to have problems with the vidio card, modem and
sound card, what gives? Get the latest drivers? That only
makes the situation worse. More errors and finally a fatal
system error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Remove all cards, except the video card, and do the installation. Then once you have a working system, add the other cards in one at a time. Do NOT activate XP until you've added all of your hardware back in.
