Best Graphics Cards For The Money: June '09

This month, ATI's new Radeon HD 4770 is missing in action, since online stores are not only unable to keep it in stock, but also de-listing it completely. With violent movements in pricing, though, it'd have been taken off the recommended list anyway. Read more

Editor's Corner: Nvidia’s Ion Revisited, 7.1 Ch. LPCM Fixed

Nvidia's Ion for the do-it-yourselfer launched last month in the form of Zotac's mini-ITX motherboard. Though sexy in principle, the platform had some teething pains right out of the gate. Chris Angelini revisits those issues and uses Ion as a real HTPC. Read more

I bet this one will stump most of you.....

I know abit about ku/c band systems, but i'm no expert. I have the following question......

I am not picking up normal ku channels (signals), but yet i can pick up nasa tv on the dsh network satellites (i.e. a KU signal) therefore, i know the Ku lnb is fine. The c band works fine and the rotor appears to be working fine.

Here's the thing. Earlier this year wasps were building a nest in the feed horn and i clean it out, but in the process i broke the round clear piece of plastic that holds the roter in its center. I glued this piece back together and replaced it and got it back to what i thought was the way it used to be (with the piece that goes to the roter). Appearntly, it was fixed correctly because i can adjust the roter just fine for the c band channels. It also appears to be working somewhat for the ku band becuase i can goof around and get the nasa channel on the direct-tv satellites. Obviously i'm missing something here. Does anyone have any idea why i can move the roter and get c-band channels to come in and out (as expected), but i'm unable to pick up ku channels (for example the channels on galaxy 18 (123 degrees west, satellite G0 on 4dtv receivers). i have moved the roter as far as possible in both directions with no change with the ku signal.

I dont have the money for a new feed horn right now, so thats out of the question. Does any one have any ideas? When i so called fixed it, i must have missed something because it was working fine before hand.

Thank you

NOTE: My system consists of the following:
* Chapperal c/ku feed horn with roter (the ku lnb is 17 - i just bought it a year ago)
* 6 foot mesh dish.
* PanSat 300a fta mpeg 2 reciever
* 4dtv reciever (the pansat is a slave to this reciever).
