Is anyone using this combo yet? If you are which processor are you using and which bios version. AMD released two processors, one built on the old Palomino core and a new one built on the new Thoroghbred core. The thoroghbred can be recognized by a model number that starts with AXDA. I'd appreciate it if anyone has it up and running.
Thanks,
Allen

There is no a Palomino core rated 2200, only Thoroghbred.

If you get the board with 1010 BOIS, it should handle the AXP 2200+.
Older BIOS won't boot up with 2200+.

Where have you seen a bios version 1010 on the A7M266? Are you sure you aren't thinking of the A7V266E? I'd appreciate it if you could send a link if it is version 1010. Highest on the Asus website is 1007.

That is interesting that you say there is no Palomino cores out with the XP2200+ because this was debated heavily at www.newegg.com under the XP2200+ and sure enough there were older cores released with a different model number and more pins than the newer Thoroghbreds.

Thanks,

Allen
