Does anyone knowns when this demo will be out?
[/b]I tried the lost planet demo in dx10 and it was a big disappointment, so i was hoping that this demo call of juarez was way much better.....
It happened to me also.
just type the dll thats missing on Google and download it, save it in the game folder.
After doing that you should be fine.
But don't expect much from lost planet dx10 demo, it sucks....
Btw its going to ask for two dll's that are missing...
They've now released a DX10 benchmark using Call of Juarez, although it seems a bit odd to me... various parts being rendered move quite choppily (as indicated by the camera going through the valley for example) but other things (like the horse that goes past) are running quite smoothly... at least on my system, it looked a bit rough around the edges. That being said, it did run about 26 FPS average on my Athlon X2 @ 2.4GHz and my overclocked 8800GTS on default settings at 1280x1024...

The demo is already out. We're testing it here in the lab for an article next week.
As for it being better than Lost Planet, don't hold your breath -- I, for one, think it's extremely weak, even with DX10 graphics. I was supremely disappointed with the demo because I love Westerns and have been waiting for a blockbuster Western game for a while (GUN and Red Dead Revolver were okay, not great). Call of Juarez feels like a step back.
For the record (and I've now gone through the benchmark a few times with various settings), it looks like the camera in the benchmark is just supremely bad. There are places in the demo where the choppy camera makes the game look like it's pulling maybe three FPS tops, but the framerates (at least according to the program) never dropped below 16 for me (with the audio off; the sound libraries they use are pretty wasteful of processing time from the penalties I was seeing).
Being a DirectX 10 benchmark, I would assume it's fairly obvious that I'm running in Vista, as you can't run DX10 games in XP...
Actually there's companies working on that, but consider it more of a trick question
If you want some sensible comments with regard to performance on your system you need to provide more system details (including the Vista flavor you're using).
