Your first decent card? I hope you have a PCI express slot (just kidding).

If you game at 1280x768 or lower it will run everything very well.

The only game I've been able to compare is CoD 2 and I thought it looked better on PC. But I only played CoD 2 on Xbox 360 for one night so I could be wrong I guess.

7600 GT blows original Xbox out of the water (I own an Xbox). Not even in the same ballpark.

wow, if it even gets near a 360 then i would be so impressed. Just now im only gaming at 800x600 with an ATI X300 so looking forward to trying this card.

Cheers

if you really want to be blown away you should've gotten a 8800gts 320mb. You can get one for $260 or lower now. The 7600gt is the middle line card. It'll be great if you have a core2duo and run 1024x768 or lower res with probably medium settings. Depends on the game, and it'll definitely look better than the xbox, probaby xbox 360. In general PCs are more powerful and have better graphics, especially high end pcs which blow consoles out of the water.

The 7600 GT I had ran everything on high to maximum pretty well at 1024x768. Even Oblivion and FEAR. For less than $90 that's just a steal.

I didn't have to turn much down until I bought a 22" widescreen monitor.

The 1280x768 was a typo. sorry.

The only reason I bot the 7600 GT, was to just tide me over for the next few months then I will go for a 8800 once I upgrade my machine, going to get a new processor, motherboard,hd,memory and monitor, basically building a new machine.
