There are four kinds of rally games were paid much attention to by the race lovers and they are Colin Mcrae Rally, Richard Burns Rally, Microsoft Rallisport Challenge and Sega Rally. Microsoft Rallisport Challenge is famous for DX8, Richard Burns Rally focus on real drive feelings, while Colin Mcrae Rally integrated the advantages of them.
The last generation Colin Mcrae Rally2005 issued at the bottom of August 2005 and in last July we got news about the new game. At the same time Codemasters announced its name and showed several pictures.
Something that hasn't been mentioned much is the amazing damage modeling within the game. It's really good, not just on the cars, but the enviornment as well. Run into a picket fence, and it does some damage to the car, and destroys the fence. Run into a tree, and your car is demolished (sometimes even undrivable ).
been playing all weekend..., its a real gfx hog and I really don't care for all the BLOOM and HDR. There is just to much of it. The steering is way twitchy in tarmac but ok in dirt and gravel. I can't get a settings that works well on both.
I have finished the first tier and am working on the second, can't wait for the spring pikes peak run....
I have tried doing some mods like I have been reading on the hdr. Some I dnl'd were to dark and only good per track. I tried making one my own and the colors went all wack and the bloom got worse! 8O I restored it all so I'll wait till someone release a good editor.
I noticed there is an xml for rainfx. I enabled it but nothing happened. I saw it was tied to a rainfx plugin in a data location. The location did not have the file so thats probably why it didn't work. hmmm, I suppose there may be some updates on the way.
