Which motherboard would you buy?
I'm going to install a P4 2.53:
Chaintech 9EJL1 Intel 845 chipset that allows 333Mhz DDR support or ASUS P4B533 Intel 845 chipset that only allows 266 DDR support?
I have not seen any good or bad news on any Chaintech boards?  Are they good, dependable, boards or are they junk?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you look towards the ASUS P4B533-V?

I would say go with the ASUS. They have a really good reputation and the difference in 266 and 333 DDR is not huge unless you are doing a lot of extreme gaming or rendering.
 
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.  

Anyways you can do this:
 
Set the jumper to change to 133MHZ FSB mode and use the 3:4 FSBRAM ratio and get DDR354.
