Can I cut open an HDMI cable, solder RCA jack audio cables to the audio wires and plug them into the DVI TV audio input plugs? Are the audio voltages the same from HDMI and Audio out from audio sourcesuchas Playstation 3?

it's not the short answer, i am never short with discussion, well....there it is.

don't discount the electronic industry itself to impede your endeavor to modify
your electronics to your liking. yes, we purchase our toys. but the electronics industries' as a whole don't see them that way. ever wonder why warranties are so long and winded....and why international treaties are almost always involved?
