Ive never seen a rebate on an Intel processor in my entire life. Id be very cautious. Just wait a big and it'll be under $300 anyways.

Yeah.
The price is going to drop much more than that soon.
They are dumpiong what they can before the Intel Price Drop kicks in.

I would wait for the Price Drop and try to get verification from some folks who order from a site that they are receiving the new stepping that Intel is moving the Q6600 too. Its a significant step forward.

They use much less juice and OC much higher before heat becomes an issue.
