Hello. I am new here and i just would like to say hi and i have a question. Would any of you at all know how to play games based on quake 3 online at school?

Careful, hello threads will get you killed by some people. If you want a free legal game that is based on quake 2 then all you need to do is download warsow.

It looks great and kicks ass, and it is almost identical to quake.

Oh and if i were you i would not play online at school, they might take offense to it. they probably have not blocked off any ports if they are anything like my old school but seriously i would not risk it if i were you.

yeh he's right, I only played quake 2 at school once for charity on the schools network.

but don't do it out of turn. PC culture now-a-days woudl take a hissy fit.

The game looks really nice, didn't expected that from the Q3 engine.

About the schools blocking some things.. at the network at our school we just rename the .exe file .. for example in quake it is named "Launchquake.exe" ... then we rename it to "Notepad.exe" or "Winword.exe" ... works perfectly :lol:

and i would also like to see if there is away to play over battle.net for blizzard games.
