I see these advertised all the time and was wondering if they really make a difference or are just a scam? If so, which one is the best? I have 512MB PC2100 RAM and WIN XP HOME

in the old days when memory was at a premium they did the job. Take 4 megs of ram and turn it into like 12. not much use today at all with most systems running more than 256.

Yup, they compress content in RAM to boost performance when multitasking to avoid using the swap file. Not very useful these days.
