new motherboard

i am going to get a new motherboard for my AMD 1.3 gig cpu, i want to upgrade from sdram to ddr ram, what motherboard do i want, need, crave, etc? i just bought a 400w case and a new geforce4 4200 128 mg ddr video card as well if that makes a difference..any help would be good..ty

Hey W,

Question, when you say "i want to upgrade from sdram to ddr ram", are you asking for a "Dual Ram" mobo? like the ECS K75SA(which has both sd & ddr slots) or are you for a pure DDR mobo? Also what is your time frame, do you need it right now?

My advice: if you are asking about a "Dual Ram" mobo, don't get one. Their performance sucks even with DDR. If you are asking about a DDR mobo for right now, MSI KT3 Ultra2(Via KT333), or if you hate Via, MSI K7N415 PRO(Nvidia nForce 415) or MSI 745 Ultra(SiS 745) if you want to save a little money. You could also look at some EPoX KT333 boards.

...And all the King's horses and all the King's men couldn't put my computer back together again...
