Everytime i open a folder it opens in a new window even though i have it set in folder options to open in the same window. I have tried to reset folder defaults and it has changed nothing. Any ideas on how to fix this or what might be causing it. Thanks for any help.

Pretty interesting site. I tried the reg file for same windows and it didnt do anything.

Sorry about that ... thought it was worth a shot.

Have you cleared the check box for simple folder view in Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/View/Advanced Settings, and checked the box for launching folders in a separate process?

Switched both of those and they still open in different windows. Thanks for the help. If it cant be fixed guess ill just have to close lots of windows until i feel like rebuilding the hard drive.
