Could anybody help me as a newbie to windows xp? I'm trying to ensure
that my pc is safely firewalled using Zonealarm & have noticed that from
time to time, XP attempts to connect to my ISP's domain name server via
the generic host protocol. This happens out of the blue rather than when
I've just typed in a domain name & I'm just wondering what the os wants
to connect to the DNS server for? Sorry if this is an obvious question &
many thanks for any help!
