Beyond Failure

So I failed after getting the Amulet....

This time around I played more carefully and used the altars more, to upgrade (bless) all my equipment by means of potions of holy water.
I made it to the Castle and went into the room with the chest that contains a wand of wishing. Fortunately I already had a scroll of charging so I first wished for..... a cursed scroll of genocide!

Then I read a scroll of earth (picked up in Sokoban) and used two of the boulders to block the only entrance and destroyed the other boulders with my pickaxe. I took off my armour, gloves, shoes, etc. and put my weapon down. Then I read the cursed scroll of genocide and genocided nurses. Yes!!! Five of them appeared and started "healing" me. Up went my hitpoints. The nurses stayed a long time until they finally vanished, one by one. My hitpoints had gone up from 130 to 180!

Ha, finished my Valkyrie and took a few ascension shots.

Angered Odin in the final meters, so my AC got up from -45 to -33. (It would've been below -50 but I wielded two weapons instead of my shield of reflection.)

Otherwise, great game.
