Hi
I am trying to set up a wireless network in my house. I have tried A
few combinations and so far I've been unable to get a setup that will
work well for both of the two machines I want to use on the network.
I was given a blitzz wireless card by my brother heno longer used the
pc from which he had bought the card for. The card worked fine for my
brother. No such luck when it came to my house!
I have a netgear router, and a linksys wap. My first attempt to make
the connection was to put the wap in a room downstairs, in a room that
was originally the garage, and so has an exterior wall between it and
the main house. I wasn't able to get a connection on my pc in the
upstairs bedroom with the blitzz card. My brother on his laptop with
a netgear wireless card in his laptop was able to get a signal when
right beside the pc, so i thought the problem was down to my network
card.
I bought a linksys pci card and put it in the machine upstairs and got
signal some of the time but the connection dropped too frequently so I
decided to think again about the way the network was set up.
I moved the router and wap into the house, and the signal upstairs is
now very good or excellent and as far as i can see isn't dropping the
way it was originally.
So next i needed to connect the pc in the garage, so i put in the
blitzz card and all looked well untill the connection started
dropping, and reconnecting every minute or so, even though the signal
and link strength were good.
I moved the linksys network card to the downstairs pc to see if the
signal dropping was due to the exterior wall, but with the linksys
card I get constant connection.
Any suggestions on ways to get the blitzz card working with the
downstairs pc would br much appreciated!!!
Both the computers are running windows xp professional.

hi there
Most likely there is a metal. glass or power line that is . obtructing the
signal . Reflection of signal is most common problem.
also check cordless phones that you are using. 2.4 Mhz cordless phones
distrups siganl.
