New Build Boot Problems-Help Needed

Sounds like your MBR (Master Boot Record) is corrupt. I would try a new format using a single FAT32 partition. Install WinXP, then partition and format as needed. I got the same error as you when trying to install WinXP on NTFS partition.

After installing WinXP on FAT32, I used Partition Magic to create my partitions and format them to NTFS.
