ABIT IT7 - Realtek NIC

I have an IT7 with an onboard Realtek NIC. The system runs Windows XP SP1. Windows says the card is enabled but the cable is unplugged. The cable is definitely seated correctly. I am trying to connect two PCs and I am using a cross-over cable.

you sure the cable is good? did you kink the cable? any link lights? check all that then replace the nic.

how do you shoot the devil in the back? what happens if you miss? -verbal
