Ok, I bought a new Enermax box, and I am very used to seeing the LED connectors and switches together on one plastic pin. Ie, I have an Antec case, and I have a five pin connector called "Speaker" and a two pin called "power switch" right on the plastic connector the wires go into.

On this new case each wire has it's own plastic connector, and cryptically titled.

I need help with figuring the below out:

I have a four pin connector, again all seperate plastic connectors. I think since there are 4, it is the Power LED and Power Switch. I then have a five pin connector, which I believe is the HDD LED and Reset Switch

Four Pin title on each plastic connector (each "1" has a circle around it):
1 Ground (black sleeve)
1 +5V (red sleeve)
1 +D (green sleeve)
1 -D (white sleeve)

Five Pin title on each plastic connector (each "2" has a circle around it):
2 Shield (dull black sleeve)
2 Ground (shiny black sleeve)
2 +5V (red sleeve)
2 +D (green sleeve)
2 -D (white sleeve)

The four pin indicates (JFP1) the following on my MOBO wich is a MSI K7T266 Pro2-A

Pin 2: FP PWR/SLP - MSG LED pull up
Pin 4: FP PWR/SLP - MSG LED Pull up
Pin 6: PWER_SW_P - Power Switch high reference pull up
Pin 8: PWER_SW_N - Power Switch low reference pull down to GND

The Five pin (JFP1) indicates:

Pin 1: HD_LED_P - Hard Disk LED pull-up
Pin 3: HD_LED_N - Hard Disk active LED
Pin 5: RST_SW_N - Reset Switch low reference pull-down to GND
Pin 7: RST_SW_P - Reset Switch High Reference pull-up
Pin 9: RSVD_DNU - Reserved. Do not use.

So my friends, please tell me what connector goes to what pin

(ie:

Four Pin
1 Ground (black sleeve) = Pin 8

though I am guessing, this is just an example..)

The mobo manual also says something about "Intel Front Panel I/O Connectivety Design Guide" compliant.

Thanks everyone!! =)

I think you can try the following connections:

1 Ground (black sleeve) = Pin 8
1 +5V (red sleeve) = Pin 6
1 +D (green sleeve) = Pin 2 (or it could be 4 as your pins 2 & 4 are labelled the same)
1 -D (white sleeve) = Pin 4 (again it could be 2)

2 Ground (shiny black sleeve) = Pin 5
2 +5V (red sleeve) = Pin 7
2 +D (green sleeve) = Pin 1
2 -D (white sleeve) = Pin 3

Not sure where the "2 Shield (dull black sleeve)" should go to. Perhaps anyone else can help...?

I am an official retard...lol. Yes they are USB connectors. But same problem, I still don't know where they go on this board. I'll get you guys what the mobo manual says what pins are for these connectors, and maybe someone can help me with what goes where. Thanks to both of you for responding so quickly!! =)

I had similar questions wrt <b>Intel Front Panel I/O Connectivity specification</b>. Here is the link (<A HREF="http://www.formfactors.org/developer/fpio_design_guideline.pdf" target="_new">PDF file</A>) that I found helpful.

enjoy!
