ASUS A7V8X Raid HELP!!!

I've just bought the ASUS A7V8X MB with RAID and SerialATA and can't for the life of me get the RAID0 function to work. Anyone else having this problem or know how to set it up? I've read the manual and it gives conflicting and vague instructions.

where did you buy it? i'm currently looking for one but everywhere is sold out of the sata/raid configuration.

I'm in London in the UK. I bought it from http://www.scan.co.uk/ Beware though, although the specs say it can do RAID there is a caveat, in order to use 2 EIDE drives one of them requires a Serial ATA converter which is NOT included. Since there aren't any Serial ATA drives available at the moment it basically renderes the RAID functionality useless! I'm extremely annoyed at being mislead by the documentation provided by ASUS, even the manual doesn't speak of this problem. I urge the people at Toms Hardware to pressure ASUS to supply this adapter to existing and future owners of this board.
