Just wondering what framerate I should be expecting on Oblivion with max settings at 1280*1024 resolution running Vista Ultimate on a PC with an e6420 C2D, an 8800GTS 320 and 2Gb of ddr2 800 RAM.

Also, dxdiag appears to think my gfx card is 256mb rather than 320mb, but with an additional 3/4 GB of shared. Is reading it as 256mb normal?

I have a similar system (except I have Vista Business and an overclocked Athlon X2 3600+), and I get about, at the slowest, 40 FPS around the Oblivion gates. Just feel free to max out the settings (other than possibly AA).

As for the GPU question, all dxdiag says for me is approx. 1051 MB of total memory, so I can't really say whether or not it's the same or not.

That's interesting because mine has been dropping much slower than that some times lately. Are you running the same resolution as me? And what driver version have you got?
