Does anyone know if the ABIT KX7-333 boards shipping now can take AMD XP CPU's XP 2200 and over? I had heard that the original models were not compatible with the faster AMD cpu chips?
BTW, I recently bought a Leadtek GeForce 4 4600 and it runs terribly. I've updated all drivers/bios, used tweaked programs, isolated IRQ slots, all to no avail (hence why I'm researching a new MoBo). Current specs:
MoBo: DFI AK75-EC (KT133)
CPU: 1 ghz AMD Thunderbird
Ram: 512 Mb PC100 (128, 128, 256)
Video: Leadtek Geforce4 4600 MyVivo
HD: IBM Deskstar 7200 ATA-100
Sound: SB Live 5.1 Value
NIC: Network Everywhere b-100 (Linksys)
OS: Win2000k (no service packs)
I think my old MoBo lacks the neccessary features to run a GeForce4 properly. And ideas?
