I am thinking about selling this card. I got it a few months back and it has worked great with my Sony Trinitron CRT. I kept the resolution at 1154x864 for most games and was able to play them all with everything set to max. Unfortunately my CRT is dying so I picked up a 22" Samsung LCD. I didn't want a LCD but I didn't have a choice. I am still looking for a nice used 24 Sony CRT but they are almost impossible to find locally now. The Sammy's res is 1680x1050 which is tough for the 320mb of ram to keep up with. It is still playable at the res with COD4 but I have to turn down AA to 2x. This isn't a big deal but I figured now might be a good time to upgrade to a 8800gts 512mb.

I have the orginal box and everything that came with the card. I've never ran it overclocked except to check how high it would go. I got the core up to 650mhz and the ram up to 1000mhz stable. Even at those settings the temps stayed in the 60's. I got it as high as 700mhz core and 1100mhz ram but not 100% stable.

This is a great card for anyone playing at lower resolutions. Let me know if anyone is interested. I would like to get @200.00 for it.

Just a bit of advice, make sure you get the 8800 GT 512 (not a GTS). I don't know if they make a GTS 512 (I don't think they do), but there is a big difference between the GT and the GTS.

Good luck!

There is a newer 8800gts that has 512mb of ram. That is faster than the 8800gt 512mb. The older 8800gts are either 640mb or 320mb, like mine.

Thanks for looking out though! ;)

NP, I wasn't aware there were new GTS out. Even better! Faster than the GT!
