Hope it's OK to post this here. I have just put XP on my PC (clean install)
after having used 98 for a long time. Now, a lot of my games are crashing,
but it only seems to be the 3D ones? The games I'm talking about should all
run on XP: Farcry, Painkiller, Unreal 2. I have everything all patched up so
I'm not sure what's going on. Can anyone think of anything which might cause
crashes in this way?

Thanks for any help

Have you updated to directx ver 9? You may have to uninstall and then
re-install the games before they will run properly, if you just did the
upgrade install of XP and not a complete install.
