Iam building a new pc, a p4. i was looking at this mobo. does anyone know if it is a good mobo.

crashman thanks for the info. do you have a suggestion for a really good mobo. i want to build a p4 2.53 . i have a antec sx835two case. i would like a mobo with raid and usb two. this will be my first time building a computer. the gigabyte ga-8pe667 ultra looks like it has a high review.

Yes, that's a nice board. In fact, there are quite a few nice boards with the i845PE, SiS 648, and i850E chipsets.

I think i'll go with the gigabyte ga 8pe667 ultra. I am new to this, but having fun learning all about pc's. any suggestion for a different mobo or do you think this one will be an excellent choice. ( go blue ) excellent web site.

It's an excellent board. Maybe 1% slower than their SiS 648 chipset board, but with better features.
