I have an Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 for sale. It's 3.0Ghz and uses 1333 Mhz FSB. It was purchased 11/5/07 and used from 11/8/07 thru 2/5/08. It was NEVER overclocked and was water-cooled the entire time. So, it is in Like New condition and 100% working order.

I'm asking $200 (shipped) or best offer. I'll include an Intel retail heatsink/fan if you want it, but I'm sure most of you don't bother with the cheap stuff.

I'll take PayPal only.

There is visible damage on 2 of the corners, especially the lower right. Thats not exactly "like new" condition.

What happened to it?

That's not damage. That's the way the heat spreader is on this chip. Other Core 2 chips look the same. What you're seeing there are bad photo artifacts and reflection from my light.

I could take some photos with my DSLR and a Macro Lens if necessary.

Spin the chip 180 degrees and take a pic. If what you say is true, then the damage will show on the other 2 corners instead.

Here's photos from my Rebel XTi with a 60mm macro lens. No Photoshop. If you want the full size versions, let me know. These are medium.

Processor's history:
* Purchased new from Newegg.
* Installed under a Swiftech Apogee GT waterblock using Arctic Silver 5. Yes, I follow instructions.
* Ran for four months at 35C. Never overclocked.
* Removed from system yesterday.
* Cleaned with ArctiClean Thermal Material Remover and Thermal Surface Purifier.

I don't know what to tell you if you still think this is damage. All four corners look the same. It's not damage. Its real smooth in the corners. I think photos may be just showing discoloration? I can barely see it with my own eyes. More importantly, I can 100% guarantee the processor works 100%, or money back.

When I purchased this, I purchased two others for some other PC's I built at the time. So, I may be able to check the others.

So, just curious... Are you actually interested or just trying to bust a bubble?
