Hello all,

I cant seem to find an anwer to this anywhere, but for whatever reason games that use OpenGL or more specifically, games that use engines made by Id software (ALice, Doom 3, RtCW) cause a blue screen, while Direct3D (Farcry, Half Life 2) games run just fine with no bluescreen.

The bluescreen says:

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

and specifically mentions a file called dxgkrnl.sys

ANyone have any ideas?

dxgkrnl.sys is the DirectX Graphics Kernel for Vista. Have you tried installing the latest DirectX 9.0c aswell as install current drivers for your video card?
