Didn't notice you had said "phone has three com port settings". On the other
NG I thought you meant the driver speed setting on the computer.
My setup is phone/USB cable and set to 230k, the software on the computer
end is two programs, kyocera USB to COM converter, and mobile office (only
uses com ports). The phone and the computer have to be at the same max speed
to talk to each other.
Don't know what communications software you use, but with a USB cable the
phone itself is a USB port, and becomes a com port for some software by
another program that converts USB to COM (That's the way Mobile Office
works, it only supports com ports).

If you have the phone set at 19.2 (the cell phone can only connect at 14.4.
19.2 is the speed of the cellphone to the computer via cable)
If you are using a serial cable, the PHONES com port speed should be 115,
and if USB, then 230.
