I had no idea whatsoever that Bioshock wouldn't support Antialiasing. It just doesnt look that great. ( I am running in DX10) evrything as high as it can go, 1680x1050. My specs are 8800 GTX, E6600 @3.4, 2 GB Mushkin. It looks nice, just not amazing. Has anybody been able to force AA in nvidia panel etc. ? I have tried and i dont believe I have had any luck. I have the newest driver ( beta) that was released the day before Bishock came out. I heard that XP allows you to force AA and vista does not ? Any truth to this? Has anyone been able to force AA with XP or Vista Please tell me how you can. I started this thread because I didn't wait years, and pay 55$ to play this game without AA. Kinda mad about it. You'd think that these 'new' gaming engines would support something as simple as AA which has been around for years.

I've read people around hear forcing AA. Not sure what OS they used though.

I played it with that resolution too. didn't look too bad to me...

I was wondering the same thing. I have a 2900XT and i run this game at ~100-120fps using FRAPS at 1680x1050 with max settings. Its a fast game engine and there is plenty of frame rate room for high AA and AF. With Vsync on it would look great with 8x or 12x AA.

You can force AA by renaming the executable R6Vegas_Game.exe and then enabling antialiasing in the control panel, but then Racer_S' widescreen mod won't work. I'd rather have a correct field of view without antialiasing than antialiasing with a completely f'd up one.

head over to www.tweakguides.com. scroll down the page to the site update for August 23rd and you will see a link to their forums where the moderator explains how to force AA in Bioshock. Props go to him for being such a diehard geek....if you dont frequent that site, you should. good luck
