Got a MCA Discovision PR7820 from 1979 off of Ebay. The machine powers up and lights up. I've confirmed Coaxial connection to two TVs....yet both TVs do not detect an outgoing video signal. The discs are detected and do spin Checked the VDP selector and it indicates that it is set to VDP.

One TV goes to a black screen when player is powered on...TV displays "No Signal", it's an Acer AL2016W 32" Flat Panel LCD. It detects Channel 3 as an analog signal, but does not play a picture on the player.

One thing of note....on the disk clamp, there appears to be a black gunk coming off onto the disc labels....I can clean it off. But I can't Snap the clamp into place as I'm supposed to per Page 8 of the Operators' Manual....any suggestions on how to fix that? It appears to be making a clicking sound when trying to do playback.

My thought is that I need something fixed on it.

One thing to add.....when it does attempt playback....I can hear a clicking sound as the disc is playing.....
