Hey guys, i was wondering if any of you tech savvy people could help me with my current issue. Ive had no problems with this before, and it only just started this weekend. Im having trouble logging in to guild wars and keeping a connection. Whenever i try to load up the game i can log in and then when the game tries to load it sticks on the 100% loading mark. I can hear the music and background sound but it just stays there. Once in a blue moon i am able to get into teh game but shortly after i get another error = 7 message, which is a connection problem. I had my dad log in for me at home, and he had no problems at all. So im guessing it has something to do wit hthe college network here. Ive adjusted my MTU settings, plugged directly into the wall, deleted the dat file and redownloaded the game and nothing has helped. Any ideas what kind of common problems would arise at a college campus? Im not sure if its traffic or not because ive never had this problem before. Im a sophomore here and it worked fine last year. I was able to log on most last week also, till around thursday or friday.
i forgot some info:
Ive also tried it on my laptop(via wireless though) and it does the same thing
Im running windows vista on my desktop, windows xp sp2 on my laptop
Both systems meet all requirements, so its not a hardware issue
We have a broadband connection here
Your problem was probably on GWs side. This weekend was the GW:EN preview weekend! Everybody that had perorder EN was downloading new content so Id say It should work for you now.
