wow.. thats alota games. Try overlord ad need for speed underground 2 if you get the chance.

Outside still sounds awesome to me :D
August 29, 2007 6:48:55 PM

That's a pretty good mix of games, so like above has said... maybe you just need a break from gaming. Or sell your soul to Blizzard and get on World of Warcraft. :)
August 29, 2007 9:12:08 PM

u could try gta san andreas since ur bored of vice city
August 29, 2007 10:17:44 PM

Oops... Forgot to mention I got bored of san andreas and i've also played Need for Speed: Carbon
August 29, 2007 11:53:17 PM

u say that gothic is too buggy to play... have you tried the most recent patch? (I heard they are up to at least v 1.8 lol)
August 30, 2007 8:15:55 AM

Oh so you have not played Medieval 2 Total War? Then get your behind on the first express to a game shop and buy that game, buy Rome Total War while you’re at it too. The game is extremely addictive and it will take you about a month of solid play to complete a campaign. You may even learn a little about history too while your at it, can you think of a better game :o
August 30, 2007 8:20:33 AM

There's a 1.12 patch out for Gothic 3 that lets you tweak settings from the console.

Very usefull stuff.
August 30, 2007 10:03:54 AM

If you want to work your *** off in a game get X2 or X3.
August 30, 2007 11:38:53 AM

Agree with Peanut - if you ever liked Elite, get X3.
August 30, 2007 12:13:56 PM

Outside is best. Although remember these points:

If you die, the there are no spawning points;
the best power up is either chocolate mousse or strawberry cheesecake;
To replenish energy try 'sleep' you wake up where you were and your energy will be replenished!
I would avoid the 'work_1.0' patch. Too much like hard work really.

If it all fails, well, i am out of ideas!
August 30, 2007 1:04:02 PM

I'll second the total war suggestion, but I actually prefer rome to medievil 2 (although I recognise that medievil is the more graphically advanced)
August 30, 2007 7:53:58 PM

Try Quake 4, Counter Strike Source, Day of Defeat Source, Command and Conquer 3, or hell even Warcraft 3 Battlechest for that matter...there are some great custom games online you could play. If all else fails take a break for about a month or so an begin to tackle soon to be released blockbusters such as Crysis, UT3, and CoD4. Hope this helps!

Best,

Quake 4 is old... I have always seen anything source /1.6 games as games for the handicapped it's basically you shoot at people who shoot you back for shooting them which is not an unreasonable reaction. Crysis i am certainly getting. UT3 and CoD4 is for xbox360 i think...
August 30, 2007 8:52:40 PM

supreme comander!!!!!!

oof but u dont like rts.the witcher is out soon...
August 30, 2007 9:09:06 PM

OK, it's broke record time:
The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay
August 30, 2007 11:42:14 PM

Supreme commander ould be great if that had taken total annihilation and then put a nice new skin on it and then left it the hell alone. Also if they would just let you adjust the game speed....

ut 3 is coming to pc. not sure about cod4 (i will be sad if it does not)

The chronicles of riddick is TOO console. it is not bad, but it is not superb.

TRIBES! 1 2 and ESPECIALLY 3. <- everybody agree with me here please.

Get Max Payne 2, it looks very good on a new gpu with everything cranked to maximum and it is the best story i have ever experienced.

Trust me on the max payne. number 1 is a bit dated but number 2 is still top notch, the faces look as good as or better than those in half life 2.

Wait for huxley so you can prove once and for all that mouse beats controller like paper covers rock smashing scissors cutting paper.
August 31, 2007 12:17:15 AM

you could always try lemmings, I NEVER managed to play that through lol
August 31, 2007 1:45:22 AM

Dance Dance Revolution!
August 31, 2007 8:09:19 AM

Quake 4 is younger than BF2 and came out within the same a few weeks of CoD 2 and is still a great game that people play online and it is fast paced. UT3 is definatley going to be a PC game and it is blasphemy that you would even mention xbox 360 and UT in the same sentence since UT is first and foremost a PC game. CoD4 is also going to be on PC and I can give you a guarantee on that. So I would still recommend getting those games. I almost exclusively play Quake 4 right now on my PC, but that will change once the new titles start rolling out...though it will still be in the mix! Oh and Im not sure what to make of your comment on the source/1.6 games...all I can say is that shooting people if fun...lol, there must be some reason is to why these games have lasted so incredibly long with so many thousands of players playing it everyday...or maybe im missing something...idk!

Best,

Problem with that game though is that it only takes about 5 hours to complete...
September 3, 2007 11:08:58 AM

so does HL2 EP 1, but we all get that too... and we all wait as long as we would for a full game.... considering they are hardly making a whole new game engine
September 3, 2007 11:25:10 AM

Yeah - It would be kind to say that HL2:EP1 exceeded all definitions of brevity.

*maybe a spoiler*

This might seem funny, but I didn't know anything about EP1 before I started playing:

I thought the train ride away from the citadel was leading up to the crux of the game and was pretty shocked when it ended there.

Cool, but way too short IMO.
September 3, 2007 2:49:14 PM

I was kind of pissed at episode one also, I mean it’s as if they decided to make Half Life 2 in to an episode-by-episode game but after episode one have just decided to make a sequel.

Half Life 2

Half Life 2.5 (Episode one)

Half Life 3 (Episode two)

I paid £20 for episode one also… that was a kick in the teeth alright.
September 4, 2007 7:51:29 AM

hah, I just scabbed my brother's copy :p

That might actually not a problem but a benefit, given the average attentionspan that younger gamers seem to be capable of.
September 4, 2007 4:06:57 PM

Well could we not pay 5 hours worth also?

LOL that made my day :) , nice one m8.

In regards to gaming...If you like to think...in games, get urselfe MYST 4:REVELATIONS...personally i think its the best game I ever played....it has a twisted enough storyline to be interesting, really amazing(and very logical) puzzles, and the vizuals beat the ones in almost all games of today (althou its a panned view), no wonder its still being sold for $19.99, and for a 3 year old game i think this is something to be wowed by.

perosnally im in a simmilar situation, but i enjoy playing Medieval 2:total war, and I just picked up the Kingdoms expansion 2 days ago, and have to say its better than the medieval 2 itselfe :)

hm.. I was considerign getting DREAMFALL:the longest journey, as well as the longest journy itselfe, or syberia, 1 or 1, also if ur into "thinking" get urselfe Destination:treasure island, very nice vizuals, simmilar to myst 4 in gameplay, but without the "story"(atleast not much, since its based on the treasure island book)

hm....have You tried titan's quest? (i liked it for about 2 weeks, then got bored of it thou) ;)
hope this helpes a bit m8 ;)

Even though episode 1 was short, those graphics at the end were AMAZING.
September 9, 2007 12:06:14 PM

I suppose you could try and see if you get addicted to WoW, that game can apparently suck up your whole life
September 9, 2007 4:36:21 PM

dont want that... want lesuire gaming. I'm doing GRAW2 online it's fairly good
September 9, 2007 7:52:28 PM

How about some good ol' oldies (sort of)...
Psychonauts? One of my favourite games ever... very funny and amusing, and way way too underrated, I don't know how it went under the radar like that.
Stubbs the Zombie is a fun one too. Not really a deep game but extremely fun eating people's brains (yum yum!) and building a zombie army.
Maybe Resident Evil 4 if you havent played that yet?
How about the Silent Hill series or the Suffering if you're into survival horror?
I realise these games are console ports but they're pretty damn good, and should not be missed just because they're ports.
