Do you think I'm asking too much? I'm open to some reasonable offers. Just the processor goes for $435 alone on pricewatch.

The other poster is right, if you want those prices, try Ebay. Especially that CPU, it is becoming rare, and is the best 939 CPU (Non FX) you can get. But, on this forum, most people won't pay that much for those components, since for $700, you could build a C2D setup that would murder that one.

If you want to sell as a package here, I would guess the most anyone would pay is about $300-400 (maybe). You are better off trying to sell each component, as someone may need a new video card, or new CPU or mobo, or a little extra ram. Like I said above, no one here will buy an complete system with components that old for that price.

And I don't mean to sound rude, if I do... I am just being truthful about the people that browse this forum.

You Guys are probably right. I already figured that from the first reply. I put the processor in my wifes HP and took out her 64 3800+ single core and put the corsair ram in her's also taking out the 1 gig of micron. Runs nice now.

I guess what I'll have to do is buy a cheap ATX midcase (have a nice 450w PS for it), put the ASUS board in it with the 3800+,and 1 gig of ram and list it locally as a bare bones starter SLI gamer for $400. I am still using the 76oo's on my new board ( MSI P6N SLI Platinum w/ E7650, 4 gigs Kingston HyperX 1066), but will put the 7600GTs in the system if it sells.

Listening to the boys over at newegg I thought I would really see a speed difference but I don't. Hopefully the $400 will get me 2 9600GTSs or 2 8800GTSs and when I can plop down some real cash I can upgrade the processor to a smoking Quad core. Ouch! $1400 right now.

get the Q6600 it is about 240.00 right now and can catch it on sale alot for about 190.00. I go to slick deals a couple times a week and someone always has them on sale. And I would highly redcommend the 9600gt's. I had those in my old system and they ROCKED! Good luck on all that stuff and you can always come back to the forums for advice on upgrades. I always have to..LOL!
