I'm a bit confused. :-(
I'm looking to buy a new P4 mainboard with DDR333 memory support (afaik DDR333 is also denoted as PC2700), I had a look at the THG website and found the articles about the i845G chipset which states it supports this type of memory.
I'm looking to buy an Asus mainboard [the P4B533-V(M)] for instance, as I have very good experiences with Asus in the past. I went to the Asus and after that the Intel websites to find out more about this chipset.
Much to my surprise I found at both of these websites that the fastest memory supported by the i845G chipset is PC2100 (DDR266)
To be sure I checked also on the MSI website and again PC2100 is mentioned as max memory support. So now I'm confused, does or doesn't this chipset support PC2700. And if so why don't these manufacturers state this on their websites, especially Intel??
Please help?
Kumbaya,
Eek!
